Abstract

Emotional Intelligence (EI) refers to the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one's own emotions as well as the emotions of others. It plays a crucial role in personal and professional success, particularly in decision-making processes. In this article, we explore the concept of Emotional Intelligence and its various components, including emotional perception, emotional facilitation, emotional understanding, and emotional management. We examine how EI influences decision-making, highlighting its impact on both individual and group decisions. The paper also reviews empirical research on the relationship between EI and effective decision-making in various contexts, such as leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational behavior. Furthermore, we discuss practical applications of EI in improving decision-making skills and fostering emotional resilience.
