Abstract

Personalized medicine represents a paradigm shift in healthcare, moving from a one-size-fits-all approach to treatments that are customized to the individual characteristics of patients. The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a pivotal role in advancing personalized medicine by enabling more precise diagnostics, treatment recommendations, and predictive models based on an individual’s genetic, environmental, and lifestyle data. This paper explores how AI technologies, particularly machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL), are being integrated into personalized healthcare practices. The focus is on AI's role in genomics, drug discovery, patient stratification, and decision support systems. Moreover, it discusses the challenges of data privacy, integration of diverse medical data, and the need for regulatory frameworks. By examining case studies and recent advancements, this paper demonstrates how AI is transforming the landscape of healthcare, making treatments more effective and minimizing adverse effects.
