Abstract

Human cognitive intelligence is a multifaceted construct, and understanding its underpinnings is one of the key objectives of modern neuroscience. Cognitive abilities such as reasoning, problem-solving, memory, and learning are rooted in the brain's complex neural networks. This article delves into the neuroscientific insights into human cognitive intelligence, focusing on the brain's role in facilitating these abilities. The article explores the neural correlates of intelligence, the impact of genetics and environment on cognitive development, and the potential for enhancing cognitive function through neuroplasticity. Additionally, we discuss the interdisciplinary intersection of cognitive neuroscience and artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on how these insights are being used to model and simulate human cognition in machines.
